LAUNCH NIGHT: FRIDAY 25TH APRIL - RETURN OF N’ FUNK One Central Street are pleased to announce The Launch of our new weekly Friday night Northern Funk. After the huge success of Funkademia and the Northern funk Christmas Special, everyone felt it was time to dust down the old vinyl and go weekly! Anchoring the decks on the launch night will be DJs Fritz Great Lakes & Myk Nolan. There will be a new twist to N-Funk this time though. Breaking with their format of uniquely pre ’79 soulfunk they will be mixing in the contemporary new artists whose inspiration derives from original soul. Hence expect to hear a playlist which could feature Marvin Gaye mixed with Duffy mixed with Aretha mixed with Gnarls Barclay mixed with Herbie Hancock mixed with Stettsasonic mixed with Issac Hayes mixed with Amy Winehouse …….I’m sure you get the drift.
